Have a close encounter with your favourite animal
Are you in love with capybaras? During an animal encounter Zoo staff will introduce you personally and share their expert knowledge - as well as one or two amusing anecdotes.
Animal encounters can only be booked online on this page. Tip: There are many other animal encounters at Tierpark Berlin, see here.

If you have been in the immediate vicinity of the FMD outbreak area within the past 10 days and/or have had contact with susceptible animal species (such as pigs, cattle, sheep, etc.), we kindly ask you to postpone your visit to the Zoo in order to protect our animals. Please note!
After purchase, you will get tickets for your animal encounter by e-mail (can be presented digitally). The tickets are only valid for the encounter on the selected date and are excluded from cancellation and/or exchange. Please note that all encounter participants also need regular day tickets (or annual passes) for Zoo Berlin. These can be booked directly here.
Per ticket, only the maximum number of people stated may participate in the encounter. Please also note the stated age requirement. At least one adult is required. To avoid any possible health risks, pregnant people are not able to participate. Unfortunately, the encounter is not barrier-free.
The encounter lasts about 20 minutes. It takes place regardless of the weather conditions.
